Iranian Candy recipe / Toot Candy

Toot candy is a Persian traditional candy usually made around the New Year or any special celebration. Toot Candy is sweet and delicious, but don't take to much of it since it is high in sugar.

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Almond Flour 1 Cup Powdered Sugar (Confectioner's sugar) 1 Tbsp Sugar 1 Tsp Rose Water 20g Pistachios Food Coloring

PREPARATIONS: 1- Slice pistachios lengthwise.

DIRECTIONS:

1- Combine almond flour and powdered sugar in a small bowl. 2- Add Rose water and stir until well mixed. 3- Continue mixing until the batter becomes evenly soft. 4- Add a drop or two of food coloring of your choice. Mix thoroughly. 5- Take a small portion (1 tbsp) of the batter and shape it as mulberry. 6- Roll the candy in sugar to cover the whole surface. 7- Press a sliced pistachio into the end of the candy to resemble a stem.
