Russia Renews Israel

The Russian Defense Ministry reiterated that the Israeli entity bears full responsibility for the downing of the Russian plane, El 20, off the coast of Latakia last Monday evening.

"The responsibility for the crash of the Russian El-20 aircraft in Syria lies entirely on Israeli Air force," Major General Igor Konashnikov, a spokesman for the ministry, told a news conference on Tuesday.

He explained that the Israeli aircraft used the aircraft El 20 as a cover against anti-aircraft missiles and that the misinformation that was followed by pointing to the wrong place of the strike did not allow the Russian air force to take the aircraft to a safe area.

Konashinkov pointed out that the Israeli aircraft carried out a maneuver approaching the Russian plane what the Syrian defense systems considered a new bombing attempt, stressing that the actions of the Israeli pilots indicate their criminal negligence or lack of professionalism.

Konashnikov stressed that the Israeli planes posed a threat to both civil and military aircraft and more than once a threat to the Russian military in Syria.

The Russian Defense Ministry considered in a statement after the fall of the plane that what was done by the Israeli act of hostile to the official and caused the death of 15 Russian military, asserting that it reserves the right to respond to the appropriate response procedures.
